The fifth edition of the biennial CleanEnviro Summit Singapore (CESG) took place from 17 to 21 April 2022. Themed, 'Towards Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Cities', the event focused on pressing and pertinent issues such as promoting circular economy frameworks, adopting climate resilient policies, and safeguarding public health standards. The discussions deep-dived into five key areas:
- Waste as Resource
- Enhanced Hygiene Standards
- Effective Pest Management
- Sustainable Energy
- Pollution Control
Key Highlights from CESG 2022
Ms Grace Fu (centre), Singapore's Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, gave the opening address for CESG 2022 and Singapore International Water Week 2022 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore, where she spoke about how Singapore continued to leverage global innovations to enhance sustainability and climate resilience. She was also a panellist for Clean Environment Leaders Summit, and the Guest-of-honour for the Youth Environment Leaders Immersion Programme.
Delegates from 11 countries, including government officials, industry leaders, technical experts and youth environment leaders, met over three days at the Clean Environment Leaders Summit, Clean Environment Convention, Youth Environment Leaders Immersion Programme, and other co-located events.
Environment Expo Highlights
On the Expo front, the CESG 2022 Environment Expo featured over 15,000 trade attendees across three event days with over 300 exhibiting companies from 65 countries/regions.
